If you feel like blowing a whistle…

If you want to send us a simple e-mail you can always use the contact form above. However it doesn’t handle attachments and it demands a real e-mail address. We know a few people would like to send us documents anonymously, so here is a simple way to do it. Just click on the link below and it will give you a private e-mail address to which you can send, with attachments, and from any e-mail address that is properly formed (i.e. it looks real), even if it is a false one. We are happy to receive anonymous documents this way. Our system will record nothing of your presence, such as an IP address, only the sender’s e-mail address you choose to put on your message. Feel free to use whistleATsave-wye.org (replacing AT with the @ sign). You will also find this link prominently in the sidebar from now on.

The Imperial College Vision is still out there looking for a ‘big funder’, probably something in the region of a Billion Pounds, BP has a ‘Research Fund’ of Half a Billion to which the College has made application, for part or all to finance its Science Park….but we are now down to less than a 100 PI’s (Primary Investigators) to kick off the Major Bio Fuels Research, but still no light on the Horizon as to when some hard Planning Proposals will be put before us to know what actually is planned. The proposed access road from the new junction 10a through Nacolt and the round the back of Withersdane to the Science Cluster is solely the responsibility of KCC, and hence Peter Raines, so it is no good asking the Imperial College Staff and associates what is happening regarding road access! SOM will just have to continue planning American Style Science Park’s, with easy American Style Road Access!

Imperial are desperate to place a lot of fog out there, Jack, so I’d take everything that is being said with a large chunk of salt. The road issue in particular. It would be extraordinary if a road built to service a large development was not paid for at least in part by the developers. If you look at the story here http://save-wye.org/2006/04/17/the-bill-for-wye-just-got-bigger-by-half-a-billion-pounds/ you will see that Imperial’s original plans included provision for what is known as Section 106 funding, which is an element of funding from developers given to road building for precisely this purpose. If Imperial now say they don’t intend to pay a penny towards a road to make their pipedream possible that is interesting in itself.
