A borough councillor expressed disquiet that members had not been told in advance of Ashford council’s plan to sign an agreement on the future of Wye with Imperial College.

Minutes of the full Ashford council meeting on December 15 show that Cllr Bob Davidson, the Liberal Democrat member for North Willesborough, said he was concerned that members had not been informed that the council was about to sign the so-called ‘Wye Concordat’ with Imperial College. But the council’s deputy leader, Paul Bartlett, said there was little more to say.

Wye’s representative, Cllr Ian Cooling, did not comment on the ‘concordat’ at the meeting.
